Researchers in the Faculty of the Built Environment are winning international recognition.

Industrial Design lecturers Rina Bernabei and Kelly Freeman have been awarded the prestigious Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Award, which recognises outstanding work by emerging designers.

Their TOTEM range of lights was designed in response to an ever increasing demand for ecologically sustainable products. The new manufacturing process used is completely ecological and materials are entirely biodegradable. For more information click here.

Lisa Coleman, also from FBE, has been awarded residency at the Moya Drying Studio, on behalf of the Art Gallery of NSW, at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris to continue research for her book on the picture editor, Norman Hall.

Lisa has previously received a Vice-Chancellor's Teaching Award and is a Churchill Fellow.
