Ever tasted a truly guilt-free smoothie made from pedal power?

You'll have the chance next week when the UNSW Environment Collective shows off its bicycle-powered blender as part of UNSW Climate Change Week.

The smoothie-making bike machine is just one of several events taking place from Monday to Thursday (7-10 May) that highlight current issues in climate change and environmental management.

Dr Alistair Sproul, from the School of Photovoltaics and Renewable Energy Engineering, will lead a forum on wind and solar biomass in Australia and the importance and ease of energy efficiency.

A special screening of Wiradjuri Forever, a film documenting the campaign against the development of the Lake Cowal gold mine in far west New South Wales, will be held on Tuesday.

The UNSW Environment Collective is a group of environmentally-conscious students working together to improve environmental standards by raising awareness of both ecological problems and potential solutions.
