The UNSW Bookshop has won Best Campus Bookshop of 2016, the third time in five years that it has received the award, announced at the Australian Campus Booksellers conference in Melbourne.

The Bookshop was also the winner of two category awards:  Most Effective Sell Through and Marketing Initiatives and Most Effective Copyright Protection Initiatives.

“It’s a great recognition of everyone involved in the Bookshop, from those front of house to those working out of the limelight,” said UNSW Bookshop manager Mark Halliday.

The UNSW Bookshop was runner-up for Best Campus Bookshop in 2015, and was the winner in 2014 and 2012.

“No other campus bookstore in Australia has such a strong track-record and high level of recognition in the book industry and higher education sector,” said UNSW Press Chief Executive Kathy Bail.

“UNSW Press is very proud to be managing the Bookshop, which is a popular destination on the Kensington campus and serves the university and broader community,” she said.

The UNSW Bookshop operates from the Quadrangle Building on the Kensington campus and sells a wide range of general and academic books, gifts and UNSW merchandising to the broader university community.

The team at the Bookshop is actively involved in book sales at university events, conferences, graduations and community events. The Bookshop is open 9am – 6pm from Monday to Friday and 10am – 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
