ATP Innovations, a technology business incubator co-founded by UNSW, has been recognised by its peers as the best in the world.

The Sydney-based incubator received National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) awards for Incubator of the Year and 'Technology Focused' Incubator of the Year at a ceremony in the United States.

"It's a fantastic achievement for ATP Innovations to attract this kind of international recognition," UNSW Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and ATP Innovations Board member Professor Les Field said.

The CEO of UNSW's commercialisation company NewSouth Innovations, Dr Kevin Cullen, is also on the ATP Innovations Board.

ATP Innovations has helped more than 300 hardware, software and life sciences start-ups since 2000. The incubator offers finalists from the UNSW Startup Games support services and space as part of their prizes.

NBIA counts over 2200 incubators and accelerators from 60 nations among its members.
