Vice-Chancellor Fred Hilmer today launched UNSW's new interactive Environment@UNSW website.

The website provides staff, students and the community with information on the latest green initiatives around campus, research breakthroughs, real-time monitoring of the University's energy use, an interactive forum and much more.

In addition, the website offers the community access to a database of sustainability experts, opportunities to get involved in UNSW's environmental activities such as Land Care, and information on upcoming lectures and other environmentally-focused events.

Launching the website at his Climate Change Forum, Vice-Chancellor Professor Fred Hilmer said; "We encourage people who have ideas, or who see things around campus, to get them up on this website so we can benefit from our community of 45,000 exceptionally talented people."

The site can be accessed via Quick Links on the UNSW home page or at www.environment.unsw.edu.au.
