UNSW alumnus Kim Edwards has been awarded a 2008 Fulbright Scholarship.

A Senior Analyst at the Reserve Bank of Australia, Kim graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honours) and Bachelor of Arts.

The prestigious Fulbright Scholarships allow the recipients to study or conduct research in the United States. Kim will use his to undertake a Master in Public Administration/International Development at Harvard University (MPA/ID).

"I hope to obtain an interdisciplinary training appropriate to the challenges of economic policy-making. The MPA/ID at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government combines rigorous training in economic theory and quantitative methods with exposure to practical policy applications," Kim says.

Kim has previously received the Dean's Award for Service, Faculty of Commerce and Economics Honours Year Scholarship, Centre for Applied Economic Research Honours Scholarship, UNSW Honours Year Scholarship and a UNSW Exchange Scholarship.

The 24 Fulbright Scholars for 2008 come from across Australia and include state government staff, postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers, and senior academics.
