UNSW Sydney has come out on top for graduate employability in a national survey of students.

UNSW received the Most Popular Graduate Employer Award at the Top 100 Graduate Employers and Future Leaders Awards evening run by recruitment firm GradConnection in conjunction with The Australian Financial Review.

Winners were selected on the basis of ratings from more than 90,000 university graduates who logged on to GradConnection’s website in 2017.

Other winners across a range of fields included PwC, Westpac, Aldi, IBM and the NSW Government.

UNSW’s award was received by the Faculty of Engineering’s Education Manager Kimberly Burdett, who was joined by a group of staff and students at the event in Sydney last week.

Burdett said it was a thrill to receive the award on the University’s behalf.

“It’s a prestigious honour which I believe reflects the hard work of the entire UNSW community and certainly reaffirms our goal to become Australia’s global university,” she said.

The award follows similar accolades in 2017, when UNSW was ranked third in Australia, and 36th in the world, in the 2018 QS Graduate Employability Rankings, and received a five-star rating for ‘Getting a Job’ in the Good Universities Guide.
