UNSW has become the first university in the country approved under new legislation by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority to provide integrated Commercial Pilot Licence training.
UNSW Aviation students can now apply to become ‘QantasLink Approved’ during their degree, allowing them to be mentored by experienced pilots and considered for employment by QantasLink after graduation.
Ultimately the truth will emerge about why Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 disappeared and hopefully the causes of the tragedy will provide important lessons to make flying even safer, writes Jason Middleton.
