Join the University’s Annual Gandhi Jayanti event on Wednesday 8 October 2014, hosted by UNSW International. This is a celebration of the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi and is an opportunity to reflect on his life, his values and their meaning for all of us today.

This year, the anniversary will be marked by a dynamic panel discussion involving young Indians and Australians, in partnership with the Australia India Youth Dialogue. Dr Tim Soutphommasane, Australia’s Race Discrimination Commissioner, will chair the panel.

The Consul-General of India to Sydney, Mr Sunjay Sudhir, will be a special guest at the ceremony.
