Two UNSW students will be flying to New York next month to take part in a meeting of student leaders from around the world. Only three students from Australia were given the opportunity.

Emily Margo from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Lena Huynh from ADFA were selected, following an interview of six Australian finalists of the Goldman Sachs Global Leaders Program.

Emily and Lena were each presented with a cheque for US$3,000 towards their studies at a special presentation.

The Goldman Sachs Global Leaders Program recognises both academic performance and community contribution of students across a range of disciplines.

UNSW has a strong reputation with the program with winners each year since 2002. The awards were instituted in 2001.
