UNSW has scored the maximum five-star rating for eight key performance indicators in the 2012 Good Universities Guide.
For graduate employment - getting a job, starting salaries and positive graduate outcomes - UNSW rated in the top group for all three measures.
UNSW also achieved five-star results in student demand, research grants, research intensivity, staff qualifications and cultural diversity.
"This is a great result for the University. The five-star rating reflects how highly sought after our graduates are by employers," Vice-Chancellor Professor Fred Hilmer said.
"The broader results also reflect UNSW's position as a leading research-intensive university."
The guide, published annually, provides detailed profiles of all Australian universities, as well as other institutions offering tertiary courses.
