UNSW Chancellor David Gonski will present a free public lecture, Creating Social Change: From innovation to Impact, at UNSW on Wednesday, 6 August.

Mr Gonski is one of Australia’s most prominent business leaders and philanthropists and is widely known for his role as chair of the ‘Gonski Review’ into school funding.

He has championed positive social change throughout his career and in executive and non-executive leadership roles for decades.

In addition to his role as UNSW Chancellor, David Gonski is the Chairman of the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group and Coca-Cola Amatil Limited, Chairman of the UNSW Foundation Ltd and the Sydney Theatre Company, Director of Singapore Telecommunications Limited and a member of the ASIC External Advisory Panel and the board of the Lowy Institute for International Policy. He is also a Patron of the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation.

The lecture is presented by the Centre for Social Impact, in parallel with the launch of its new undergraduate course, Creating Social Change.

The talk is part of a lecture series hosted by the AGSM, which will also feature social entrepreneur and philanthropist Daniel Petre on Wednesday, 22 October. Find out more on the Centre’s website.
