Public meeting on S-E Sydney transport

A major forum on South-East Sydney's public transport will be held at UNSW tonight.

This is the second public forum to be staged as part of the Sydney Morning Herald's independent inquiry into public transport. It will discuss the need for an integrated public transport network to drive a sustainable future and focus on the transport needs of South-Eastern Sydney.

The discussion will be chaired by Mr Ron Christie, who is a former chief executive of the Roads & Traffic Authority, former head of the Olympic Roads & Transport Authority, former Co-ordinator General of Rail in NSW and former Director-General of Public Works and Services. He will be assisted by a panel of independent experts.
