Arts/Law student Fiona Cunningham has won the UNSW Harvard Travel Scholarship.

The scholarship is designed to give high performing undergraduate students the chance to undertake a period of study at Harvard University in the United States.

Fiona, who is currently on exchange at the China Renmin University in Beijing, will commence studying at Harvard in September 2007.

She will spend one semester at the prestigious University majoring in Government, with a focus upon Chinese foreign policy and US constitutional law and will return to the UNSW Law School in 2008.

Last year Fiona took part in a simulated International Court as part of a model United Nations Conference in Beijing. Of the 1400 delegates who took part in the conference only 18 were from Australia and Fiona was the only student from UNSW.

When she completes her degree Fiona intends to work on international criminal law or in policy, working with a think-tank or for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
