UNSW is sponsoring an innovative social media campaign offering international students the opportunity to study in Australia.
UNSW is the sole university Gold sponsor of Future Unlimited, the first global competition to market Australian higher education to an international audience. NAB, Qantas, Telstra and TOEFL are also Gold sponsors.
The Australian Government Trade Commission, Austrade, received 2000 entries just three days in to the seven-week campaign, mostly from potential students in China, Vietnam, Brazil, Indonesia and Croatia.
The Future Unlimited competition invites students across the globe to design a digital postcard explaining how an Australian education will set them up for the future.
The successful finalist wins a year’s study in Australia including flights, tuition and accommodation.
Executive Director UNSW International, Aleksandr Voninski, said UNSW is pleased to be a major supporter of such a creative and innovative campaign.
“As an Australian leader in international education UNSW has a global reputation for producing career ready and forward thinking graduates,” he said. “The Future Unlimited campaign is a great fit for UNSW and its rapid success will help ensure that Australia is seen as the destination of choice for international students.”
Shortlisted candidates win a study tour of Australia at the end of this year. The finalist will be announced in early 2014.
