UNSW research covers every aspect of the water cycle, from water recycling to changing rainfall. This special issue of Uniken (1.2MB) looks at the broad water-related research that is taking place on campus, as well as some of the practical steps UNSW is taking to minimise our water usage.

"The integrated research of our University provides us with knowledge that is vital to our ability to understand water on our arid continent and to adapt to the climate changes that are confronting us," Professor Andy Pitman, co-director of the UNSW Climate Change Research Centre, says in the issue.

We also look at a new computer program that promises to take the hard work out of animation by drawing the 'in-between frames', and at the vocal technique that allows professional saxophonists to increase the range of their instruments.
