Thirteen staff members and one student from UNSW have been chosen to take part in the Australia 2020 summit, which will help shape Australia's future.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd described the summit, which will be held on April 19 and 20, as "an important initiative to harness the best ideas for building a modern Australia that is ready for the challenges of the 21st century".

Delegates have been put into ten sub-committees, depending on their area of expertise. UNSW staff and students taking part include:

A number of UNSW alumni have also been selected to take part in the summit.

Nicole Kuepper, a PhD student in the School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering has been selected to take part in the 2020 Youth Summit which will be held in Canberra in the lead up to the Australia 2020 summit.
