The ATAR results are in, you’ve chosen your degree, but still have a few questions?

Come along to UNSW’s Info Day on Tuesday, 6 January 2015, explore the campus, and chat to academic staff, career advisers and current students about your program options.

“Info Day is the last day before close of UAC preferences so students and parents can take the opportunity to ask all those last-minute questions about preferences, admissions and programs,” says UNSW Future Students manager Jonathan Strauss.

If any changes need to be made there will be iPads on hand and advisers to take students through the process. There will also be campus tours and faculty information sessions.

Check out the Info Day website to find out what’s happening on the day and to plan ahead. Info Day staff will also have details about new undergraduate degrees on offer at UNSW in 2015.

“In 2015, new degrees include the Bachelor of Life Sciences, the Bachelor of Computational Design, and the Bachelor of Media (Screen and Sound Production) as well as some great new combinations,” says Strauss.

Student volunteers, including Commerce and Science student Alex Scriven, 22, will be on hand to provide a student perspective.

“It is definitely worthwhile talking to student volunteers as each of us has had a unique university experience – from our involvement in different clubs, volunteering activities, exchange programs and our different courses,” Alex says.

Alex says his key advice to students is to get involved in university life.

“I would not have had the university experience I have had without getting involved in clubs, volunteering activities and going on an exchange program to Italy for six months,” he says.

“At UNSW you get a world-class education inside the classroom, but a lot of your best memories will come from outside the classroom and all the amazing other things on offer.”
