Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Lucy Turnbull have visited Pure Land: inside the Mogao Grottoes at Dunhuang, an augmented-reality installation created by UNSW Professor Sarah Kenderdine on exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW. Pure Land transports visitors to an ancient Buddhist grotto within the UNESCO World Heritage listed ‘Caves of the Thousand Buddhas’– one of the world’s most remarkable, and inaccessible, heritage sites along the Silk Road.
